Restaurants Washington DC - Founding Farmers (recommendable)

If you are going to a conference or meeting in the IMF or World Bank this Restaurant is conveniently located at 19th street.

This is a great restaurant for lunch. It is a little bit on the expensive side, but the wait is not long and the food is all very fresh. One can eat the meat here without having a bad conscience since the animals were all treated well which is their main selling point

It is very American with corn bread, lots of sandwiches, but they also have healthy choices on their menu such as salads or fish. I tried the Plank salmon which had a delicious sweet maple syrup glazing. The others tried the Sand Barackwurst (a more sophisticated hot dog - with sophisticated I mean better meat etc) and the Cheeseburger which were both delicious.

(One thing I noticed is that they claim to make their own bread, but when I asked if the bread was with lactose products, the waiters said they have to call their bakery and ask.)

The main dishes were all around 13 USD, however the plank salmon was a little bit on the expensive side and was 30 USD.

Overall I would recommend this place for a quick and healthy lunch.
